I'm not sure about you, but when it comes to ribbons I have never found anything quite right that stores them. Somethings don't fit them all, others i'm gobsmacked at the price tag and others just don't thrill me. So it got me thinking, what would suit me? I'd like something which kept them all compacted together, something with a few dividers (to sort colors) and something which was easily portable. Then....'lightbulb moment' - make one, and that's how I came up with my plastic container ribbon organizer. |
WHAT YOU NEED:
- ribbons
- plasitc container (i used a fischer container 30wx19dx8.5cm)
- marker or texta
- ruler
- drill
THE HOW TO:
1. buy any sized plastic container
2. using a ruler and a permanent marker/texta mark out on the lid how many holes you want and their
spacing.
3. using a small drill piece, firmly hold the box in place (either between your legs or hire a spare pair of
hands) and drill a hole at each dot point.
4. get rid of all the rubbish, sort your ribbons, then thread them through each hole and close the lid.
(if you find some sharp bits are still stuck onto the box just get a metal nail file and file back)
DONE :)
