I'm not sure about you, but when it comes to kids drawings - especially the good ones I love to keep them. I usually just store the special ones in a folder or sometimes I use the drawings themselves or take a photo of them and put them on my scrapbook pages. These are all still really handy things to do, but this can get a little repetitive so thats when I thought why not use my silhouette machine to create cuts of my kids drawings and use these in my albums instead? |
1. Get a drawing you want to use and scan it into your computer.
2. Open up your silhouette studio program and load your scan into it.
3. Next click on your drawing then select the trace option and trace your image (for step by step instructions on tracing, click here)
3. Next click on your drawing then select the trace option and trace your image (for step by step instructions on tracing, click here)
* I cranked my high pass filter up to 300.00 and just ticked the low pass filter box to completely trace the whole drawing.
4. Once your entire drawing in covered in yellow press the 'trace' button and there you have it you've traced your drawing and its ready to be cut (if you think your image is a little to thin, click here for a tutorial on how to thicken it up for cutting)
And here's my little man all cut and ready to be used!
